Australians Planning To Work In Canada, The Process I Followed
I am traveling to canada in Feb 2010, I thought I would blog the things I reserched and know to help others planning to do the same
Applying For A Work Visa
- If you hold a Australian Passport you are elligable to apply for the WHP (working holiday program Canada)
- Visa Valid 2 years from arriving on Canadain Soil, you have 1 year from application approved to arrive there
- Be aged 18-30 years inclusive at the time your application is received. Your application must be stamped as received by the Consulate General of Canada in Sydney on or after your 18th birthday, or before your 31st birthday
- COST: $160 Australian dollars
- Must be a bank cheque or Australia Post money order (not personal cheque)
- Processing Time Approx 2-4 weeks (mine took about week and half)
- Driving In Canada/USA
- you are able to drive on a Australian licence with out the need of a international drivers permit.
